This project leaned into the existing woodland feel of the site while giving the hillside a more intentional and usable landscape structure. Layered ornamental grasses, flowering perennials, and simple edge control help the slope feel softer and more established without overworking the natural setting.

Family-oriented outdoor elements are woven into the landscape so the yard feels playful, welcoming, and connected to the character of the surrounding trees.

This backyard renovation centered on everyday outdoor living with comfortable gathering space, cleaner paving, and a more settled planting plan. The covered patio creates a strong destination for dining and shade, while the lawn, water feature, and perimeter planting help the yard feel calm and complete.

The final layout supports entertaining without losing softness, giving the property a more balanced mix of hardscape structure and garden character.

This project focused on creating a cleaner, more architectural landscape expression through a tight material palette and carefully placed planting. Large-format stepping surfaces, dark decorative rock, and layered foliage work together to give the space stronger rhythm and a more intentional finished edge.

The result is a landscape that feels modern and low-maintenance while still carrying texture, seasonal color, and a comfortable sense of movement through the garden.
